FAIRLINE BACK IN PROFIT

The Oundle based boat builders, Fairline have announced that they are back in profit after a three year down turn. The company, which recently revamped its manufacturing facility in Corby have revealed an underlying EBITDA of £3.7 million on sales of £82.6 million last year.

Fairline CEO Alistair Schofield told the press, 'Over the past 18 months the business has reacted dynamically to the difficult economic climate and taken the appropriate steps to move the business back into profitability.'

Over the past 12 months the company has spent £2.8mil changing the site at Corby to a mixed-model production facility. They have also introduced resin infusion and CNC machining for its furniture. Fairline plan to build the Targa 48 Open, Targa 48 Gran Turismo and Squadron 48 using these new techniques, with the Targa 48 making its debut this summer.
