Energy Solutions Ltd are launching a new bilge pump in Amsterdam at the METS (Marine Equipment Trade Show) the “Bilge Pro”, on the 19-21 November 2013.

The UK based company have designed the system so it can be fitted more easily reducing installation costs and labour time. They have managed to overcome the typical complex fitting procedure of previous pumps that need several connections and cables that are vulnerable to water ingress after long periods of time. The Bilge Pro achieves this by using clever plug and play connections that don’t need tools to be connected.

How many bilge pumps have you heard about that seize up when left unattended for long periods of time in water? Quite a few, but the Bilge Pro has a built in periodic pump exercise that switches the pump on periodically for short bursts in order to prevent this happening.

This is just a very brief description of the Bilge Pro and there are many more features, and when you consider the bilge pump is the first line of defence in stopping a boat from boat sinking and at £98 or €130 plus VAT we think this sounds great value for money.
