EARLS COURT SHOW CANCELLED

Wednesday May 6th, 2009
ImageThe Managing Director of the Sail Power & Watersports Show has announced that he has cancelled this year’s event at Earls Court. Instead he has plans to launch a British Leisure Show at Windsor Racecourse in spring 2010 followed by a marine based event at Earls Court in November. With the recession hitting the marine industry, James Brook seems to be playing safe in the hope that he will be able to once again support the industry albeit at a later date.

'Over the last two years we have directed over £5m GBP of investment to promote the marine industry through our shows at Earls Court,' Mr Brooke told reporters. 'As we continue to increase the level of investment, it has been essential to fully understand the new challenges facing many companies within the marine industry in 2009, and beyond… We look forward to returning to Earls Court in November 2010.'

The show at Windsor Racecourse will run from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st march next year and will incorporate across the board products from the British leisure industry including outdoor pursuits, walking, sports cars, camping and motor-homes, health and fitness, sightseeing and tourism, aviation, marine and water sports and lots more.
