DRONES WORKING IN SHIPBUILDING

Drones set to work in shipbuilding

Unmanned drones also called multicopters are now not only over flying ships under construction, but also entering internal spaces such as ballast and other tanks to carry out inspections.  This pioneering use of drones is taking place at Poland’s Remontowa Shiprepair Yard following on form successful introduction of the technology at Japanese shipbuilder Tsuneishi Holdings Corporation. The drones are also useful for inspecting cranes and other outdoor features of these large vessels.
