Man’s best friend rescued in Norfolk.

Dave had a narrow escape when he got trapped in the river at Ten Mile Bank near Downham Market. He was unable to scramble back up the slippery bank, but fortunately a passing lad spotted him doing the doggy paddle in the river and called the fire brigade.

The fire fighters went to his rescue with the aid of a rubber boat and soon Dave, an eleven and a half years old golden Labrador, was reunited with his owner, Dale Osler, 37, a farm worker from Sedge Fen.
