Fire crews went to the aid of a yacht which fell on its side in Hayle Harbour, Cornwall. A candle which had not been entirely extinguished, caught alight again, setting fire to the boat. The two yachtsmen had gone ashore to buy groceries when the yacht fell over on the ebbing tide in what is a dryng harbour.
The yacht Nora has been voyaging since July from Scandinavia to North America and had several incidents on the way but yachtsmen Bob Weise and Steve Shapiro, both 71, plan to continue their journey.
