ImageAFFORDABLE TOP-END CHARTPLOTTERS

At last Raymarine have launched a far more affordable multifunction range of chartplotters and fishfinders. With the last years top-end G-series coming in at a whopping £8000 the new A-series range start at the, frankly, welcome and far more pocket price of just over £700. The five variations include a 5in screen A50 and 6.7in screen A70 chartplotters for yachtsmen and three chartplotter/fishfinder combos for fishermen. They all accept multiple inputs including Navtex, DSC, AIS, engine monitoring and autopilot via Raymarine Seatalk NG, Seatalk 2 or NMEA 2000.

All packages include a high-sensitivity GPS antenna. Two of the fishfinder models have embedded Navionics cartography, which can be upgraded to Navionics Gold or Platinum. All the models are waterproof to IPX6 standard and have quick-release swivel-mount brackets so they can be stored below when not in use. They also have excellent anti-reflective screen filters enabling 180degree visibility even in direct sunlight. They look very nice too.
