CARLINGFORD OYSTER FESTIVAL

The harbourguides crew are currently visiting the wonderful medieval town of Carlingford in Ireland and have arrived just in time for the fabulous Carlingford Oyster Festival. This ancient tradition runs from September 4th to September 6th with the Oyster and Wine reception taking place in the main marquee, where you can learn everything you need to know about oysters whilst washing them down with a glass or two of your preferred tipple.
Other events include the famous crab fishing competition, an art, craft and food fair, traditional music and dance, a concert by the Stedfast Shoes Brass Band, the annual regatta and the Traditional Chowder Tasting Day. It all sounds like great fun to us. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
