Boat Collision off Grimsby

Michael Gallagher, master of a wind farm transfer passenger vessel was fined £9,702 for not keeping a proper lookout and not being competent in the use of electronic equipment after his vessel hit a floating military target in Donna Nook Air Weapons range.

His workboat the catamaran Windcat 9 had 15 people on board and was travelling at 23 knots when the collision occurred, badly damaging the vessel but there were no injuries.
