ImageMORE BIRDS DOWN THE TROUSERS CRIME
This guy has to be crazy. Californian, Sony Dong was stopped and searched on the way back from Vietnam by customs officials, who found feathers and droppings on his socks. A further search revealed that the 46 year-old was carrying 14 birds in his trousers including magpie robins, red-whiskered Bulbuls and shama thrushes.
Apparently the birds could be sold in the US at $400 a piece to collectors. The birds had been strapped to his legs. Dongs accomplice Duc le is also facing charges. The customs officials were following up an earlier case of birds being smuggled in baggage.
The mind absolutely boggles!
