BINOCULARS THEFT AT LYMINGTON YACHT CLUB
Friday September 12th, 2014

Thieves have stolen a set of world war 2 binoculars from Lymington Town Sailing Club. The Carl Zeiss Binoculars that were used by the German Military in World War Two had been in the clubs Solent room for over half a century and were free to use by clubs members, offering spectacular views over the Solent.
The Binoculars are green/grey in colour and extremely large and heavy, they were not something someone could simply pick up and walk away with. Specialist tools would have been used in their removal.
We would love to get these binoculars retuned back to the Lymington Town Sailing Club, so if anyone out there has any information relating the theft, or has been approached by someone to buy them, please contact either the club on 01590 674514 or the Lymington police on 101 and quote the crime number 44140317195
Come on, let’s get these returned
