BEN AINSLEY HONOURED FOR FIFTH TIME

SIR BEN AINSLEY HONOURED FOR FIFTH TIME

UK Olympic champion, Sir Ben Ainslie, has been named ‘Yachting Journalists Association (YJA) Yachtsman of the Year’ for 2012 making it the fifth time the five time medallist has won the award.

Sir Ben was knighted in the New Years Honours was unable to attend the award ceremony at Trinity House, London due to commitments in the USA. He joined the celebrations via a live TV link from his team’s base in California, during which he congratulated his fellow finalists Helena and Ian. The award was presented by Lady Pippa Blake.

Meanwhile the 36-year-old, who has been top of his sport for twenty years, is prepping his J P Morgan/Ben Ainslie Racing Team for the next America's Cup World Series Regatta at Naples in April
