BARTS BASH SAILING EVENT

Barts Bash sailing event is well on course to break a world record with the help of sailing clubs linking up to make sure that Andrew Simpson (Bart) is remembered and the profile of dinghy sailing and racing is raised.
Three sailing clubs, The Royal Lymington Yacht Club, Lymington Town Sailing Club and Keyhaven Yacht Club will join forces on the 21st of September 2014 and are inviting as many dinghy sailors as possible to take part in the West Solent Dinghies Bart’s Bash.All classes are welcome and there will be one start and one winner.
Event coordinator Paul French said: “We are working towards the Western Solent Dinghies Bart’s Bash being the biggest turnout on the Solent we have had for a long time, Bart’s Bash is a global opportunity to remember Andrew Simpson and raise the profile of the sport of sailing, and we are very much looking forward to being part of such an event.”
