A baby seal went on crawlabout on a main road in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and ended up entering womanís house and making himself at home on her sofa.
Remarkably the Seal had let itself in through a cat flap.
Annett Swoffer who found the seal in her house quite happily along with her cats said, ďI was in my office and I heard an awful racket down below...I thought the cats have brought a rabbit or something in so I went down and had a look - and there's a seal in my kitchen.
'I thought, I'm hallucinating, this is just wrong.' She also said ďIt looks at me with those huge brown eyes.
'It was so cute but I didn't touch it because you don't with wild animals.'
Annett contacted the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA), and said: 'They were giggling away and I'm saying, 'I'm not drunk, I'm not lying, there's a seal in my house'.'

The SPA in turn called in the Department of Conservation who had been contacted earlier by people who had spotted a seal nearby to Annetts house. It had also been sighted in a residential home garden where it was frightening the elderly residents there, and they were stiil looking for it. They rescued it from the house and the odds are that itís the same seal.

Experts believe the seal pup had just weaned from its mother.

The sealís little adventure has ended for the time being as it was later releases into a nearby harbour.
