No, seriously, this month’s prize is far more practical. One lucky winner will receive a Compass 24 hand torch. OK it’s not quite as exciting but this spray-protected, rubber covered hand lamp will probably prove an ultimately more satisfying win. The 12 volt, 50 watt searchlight has a pistol grip can be plugged into a cigarette lighter and has a 70cm spiral chord which extends to nearly a metre. What’s more it throws a beam up to 300 metres.
