Possible DIY antifouling ban within European Union

A survey is being undertaken into the use of antifouling by boat owners doing it themselves. The European Uniion is concerned about the harmful effects of antifouling on boat owners who do not take adequate precautions whilst preparing the boat or applying the products which can have toxic effects due to the chemicals involved. A  ban is being considered which could result in products no longer being sold to the general public but only to professional users.

Working for a big company I can tell you that the big companies have absolutely no influence on this legislation

Anominous
We would just get submarine antifoul or similar. This law would never happen, it would make antifoul like bootleg booze, driving it underground. absolute rediculous idea by the EU
