We reported earlier this year that Corsica were going to implement an anchoring tax. Well according to RYA reports this will not be enforced this year but could well be sometime soon.
Answering the question at the Corsican Assembly, the president of the Executive Council gave his guarantee that there would not implicate the tax before a consultation had been made. A little vague to say the least.
It will be sad if this anchoring tax does get enforced, as sailors for many years have enjoyed the freedom and independence of anchoring without incurring costs.
