A 100 LAUNCHED IN OMAN
There were celebrations in Salalah Port, Oman this week as the Arabian 100 trimaran entered the water for the first time. The A100 was designed by Nigel Irons and built by Boat Speed in Australia a task that has taken about two years. The final assembly was completed in the southern most port of Salalah by a team of around 30 international and Oman boat builders.
The maxi racing craft will join the Oman Sail fleet as a training boat for the Oman Sail Academy. Paul Standbridge will skipper the A100 and it is now undergoing sea trials before heading up the Omani coast on its maiden voyage
