Right next to Malmaison Hotel and the Millennium Bridge you’ll find La Tasca Newcastle, serving great tapas and other Spanish food just 15 minutes’ walk from Newcastle train station. If you’re at the wheel, we’re close to Quayside car park. On sunny days, we have a busy terrace which seats up to 100 people and we can seat up to 250 people inside the restaurant.
The Quayside is a great tourist spot with points of interest such as the Baltic Art Centre, the Sage, Live Theatre and the Metro Radio Arena. And La Tasca is great venue to stop in and take a rest from visiting these sights and sounds.
Kids are always welcome to try any of our Spanish specialities such as paellas and tapas. And for the adults, there are sangrias and beers too. Our restaurant is the perfect party venue for those birthdays, Christmas and office parties as well as those hen nights.

Steven has invested extensively in both quality ingredients and staff training to ensure first class food and drink, with excellent customer service, on each visit.
The team is headed by manageress Lindsay O’Neill, who has a background of excellent customer service, a trait she instils in each member of staff.

Mister Woods Coffee House in Tynemouth is situated in the former Grange Interiors premises on Front Street and serves the same high quality food and beverages for which their North Shields coffee house is known.

These can be enjoyed in their spacious, comfortable, beautifully refurbished new premises. We also provide a take-away service with a huge selection of beverages and snacks ‘to go’. We serve ice cold drinks, speciality drinks, coffee, tea, latte, and cold sandwiches as well their ice-cream range. BeechDean Dairy Ice Cream is exclusive in the village to Mister Woods and by using their express take-away counter you save valuable queuing time.
