The Ego concept isn't new and it isn't unique.
In fact we borrowed it from the millions of people who live throughout the Mediterranean and who believe it's important to make time to enjoy a good meal with family and friends. That's one of the most valued traditions of the Mediterranean culture, something that's enabled generations of people to find a good work-life balance and to lead a healthy lifestyle.
It's something many of us do when we're on holiday, but when we come home it's all too easy to slip back into old habits, to go back to grabbing a bite just to refuel. And that's just not healthy, for body or mind. Ego is all about healthy food made from natural ingredients and served in pleasant surroundings, maybe with a nice bottle of wine. We think it's important to take the time to relax and enjoy a meal. It's a very Mediterranean thing, and that's why we try to make every visit to Ego feel like a little holiday in the Med.
