Lamlash Harbour can be entered either by the North or South Channel The North Channel should be entered by passing between the red can buoy (Fl.R.6s) and Holy Island. The red can bouy guards shoal patch with approximately 2m depth. Tidal flows in and out of the North channel fluctuat betwean 0.5 kn to 1 kn.
The bay at Brodick is quite open, with the village and the Roll on Roll off Ferry terminal on the South Side and Brodick Castle on the North West Side. Small vessels can heads for the “North West Corner” but keep an eye out for the ferries.
