Kyle harbour, situated within the sheltered confines of Loch Alsh, is a busy deep water port (greater than 7m). It plays host to a variety of cargo, fishing, fish farming, leisure and small to medium sized cruise liners. Leisure facilities include 120m of pontoons at Kyle and Kyleakin as well as four visitor moorings on the south shore of the loch, off Kyleakin.
The slipways once used by the car ferries that operated prior to the build of the Skye bridge, provide excellent launching facilities for trailer launched leisure craft and cargo landing craft. A number of commercial leisure craft also operate out of the harbour offering fishing trips or cruises to view the magnificent scenery, above and below the water.
