HAYLING ISLAND
Situated on the very doorstep of the Solent, close to the harbours of Langstone and Chichester, Hayling Island may only be small but it has plenty to offer. The combination of rural and marine environments offer a unique natural history and bio diversity whilst the three miles of beautiful beaches, safe open spaces, clean fresh air and sheltered waters create a wealth of leisure and sporting opportunities.
The excellent conditions on the water have made Hayling Island an international year-round favourite destination amongst the boating and water sports fraternity. It’s not surprising that windsurfing was invented there. Nearby Sparkes Marina and Boatyard at the entrance to Chichester Harbour offers excellent marine services, chandlery shop, fuel, waste oil facilities and 24 hour access.
On shore the Island has excellent sports facilities including the Seacourt for racket sports, skateboarding, bowls, cycling and walking. Other attractions include the funfair, narrow gage railway, adventure playground and a wealth of historic sites. There is also superb dining to be found, friendly hospitable pubs and great accommodation.
