Since 1661, when Falmouth received its Royal Charter Award, the historic town has thrived. The largest town situated on the banks of the Fal-estuary its success has been built on a backbone of maritime industry. My wife and I are interested in learning to sail, either in a yacht or a power boat, but neither of us have any experience with being in charge of a boat. Are there any local courses or other ways we could learn to be on the water safely before we think about buying a boat ourselves?

The feedback we have received is that although its obviously busier in the Summer months, there's still plenty to do in the winter.
