Derwent Water sits in the centre of the Lake District National Park. The lake occupies part of Borrowdale, lying south of Keswick. It is fed and drained by the River Derwent.

The Coffee Lounge is a family-owned business in the centre of Keswick providing freshly cooked meals and great coffee in a relaxed comfortable environment. We also offer a large selection of freshly baked cakes, tray bakes and scones, all made on the premises.
We use the best ingredients provided by local suppliers including Taylor's bacon, Farrer's coffee and, of course, traditional Cumberland sausage. Our milk and eggs are delivered daily from a local farm in Braithwaite.

Set in the heart of Cumbria, Bar Metro, based in Keswick is an American themed family friendly diner. Run by Simon Ruggles and Toni Bruce, Bar Metro opened in October 2014 and has been serving great American and Tex Mex Style food ever since.
Our food is sourced locally wherever possible and our meals are produced with the best ingredients we can get. We make our burgers from scratch and we flame grill our BBQ meats and veg so you can enjoy the full flavour of great food.

Biker friendly, family friendly, dog friendly cafe in Keswick. Located just of the A66 with free parking and outdoor seating you will find a friendly bunch serving hot food and drink 7 days a week.
We serve all day breakfasts, fresh home made pancakes, delicious burgers including our portobello and mushroom burger as well as variety of other dishes and daily specials.
Founded in 2011 The Filling Station Cafe was the first and probably still the only biker friendly cafe in the Lake District. However we welcome all to our humble cafe in Keswick.
At the start of 2018 the menu went through a complete overhaul, improving some of the old favorites and bringing new dishes and flavors to our loyal customer base. The reaction to our new menu has been overwhelming positive.

What’s more, when you head upstairs, you’ll find contemporary and comfortable rooms with all the facilities you need to make your stay restful, including walking guides and books, flat screen TV and even a cushion for your pooch.

The Puzzling Place’s ‘World of Illusion’ takes the theme of Illusion and runs with it. It is home to our ‘Anti-gravity Room’, ‘Ames Room’, ‘Hologram Gallery’ and ‘Eyelusions Exhibition’. It’s a fascinating, fun and social excursion into the wonderful world of optical illusion, which will leave you quite literally, not believing your eyes!
As the appeal of optical illusions crosses all age ranges the ‘World of Illusions’ is an ideal place to be enjoyed and experienced with friends or family however young and old. It’s generally the older generation of the family who are left surprised by how much they’ve enjoyed their visit!

Keswick Adventure Centre (A founder member of the Lakes Adventure Partnership) has been established in order to provide excellent, affordable outdoor adventure activities for all visitors to our stunning Lake District National Park. We operate in and around the beautiful Borrowdale and Newlands valleys and utilise the fantastic Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine.
We are registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (Formerly AALA) for specified activities under the following headings:

It is free to enter ‘The Puzzling Place’, as at the top of the stairs is our shop which is stuffed with puzzles, gadgets and curiosities and is guaranteed to have something to amuse, entertain or puzzle you. At the far end of the shop is our ‘Puzzle Area’ which again, is free to enter. Here you can give your brain a work out trying to solve the puzzles and brain teasers which are set out for your entertainment and frustration!
Although the shop and ‘Puzzle Area’ are definitely worth a trip on their own, it’s the main attraction where the boundary between illusion and reality starts to blur.

Came round to Nickel End Marine and was pleasantly surprised, found everything i needed under one roof wheras in the olden days i had been shlepping round to Windermere . I have seen the light and felt like spreading the word.
