Information
Derwent Water sits in the centre of the Lake District National Park. The lake occupies part of Borrowdale, lying south of Keswick. It is fed and drained by the River Derwent.

The Farmers Arms is same distance from Keswick as it is from Nichol End Marine, about 6minute walk but nice country pub with good food.

Was having some minor repairs done on my boat in Whitehaven and needed small screws but could not find anything local.
Came round to Nickel End Marine and was pleasantly surprised, found everything i needed under one roof wheras in the olden days i had been shlepping round to Windermere . I have seen the light and felt like spreading the word.

Went to Keswick Adventure Centre, which is on Derwent Water, and it was really good. If you have children I would really recommend it.

Travelling through UK and have been using Harbourguides for a reference and have visited many beautiful places. Keswick is our favourite upto now.
Dont know where we going next anyone any ideas.

It is free to enter ‘The Puzzling Place’, as at the top of the stairs is our shop which is stuffed with puzzles, gadgets and curiosities and is guaranteed to have something to amuse, entertain or puzzle you. At the far end of the shop is our ‘Puzzle Area’ which again, is free to enter. Here you can give your brain a work out trying to solve the puzzles and brain teasers which are set out for your entertainment and frustration!
Although the shop and ‘Puzzle Area’ are definitely worth a trip on their own, it’s the main attraction where the boundary between illusion and reality starts to blur.

Founded in 2011 The Filling Station Cafe was the first and probably still the only biker friendly cafe in the Lake District. However we welcome all to our humble cafe in Keswick. At the start of 2018 the menu went through a complete overhaul, improving some of the old favorites and bringing new dishes and flavors to our loyal customer base. The Coffee Lounge is a family-owned business in the centre of Keswick providing freshly cooked meals and great coffee in a relaxed comfortable environment. We also offer a large selection of freshly baked cakes, tray bakes and scones, all made on the premises.
We use the best ingredients provided by local suppliers including Taylor's bacon, Farrer's coffee and, of course, traditional Cumberland sausage. Our milk and eggs are delivered daily from a local farm in Braithwaite.
