Firstaway Yacht Charters is a premier yacht charter company operating in the Solent and the South Coast since 1985. We operate from Shamrock Quay, Southampton providing easy access to Southampton Waters and the Solent, as well as beyond to France and the Channel Islands.
Our experienced and enthusiastic team is made up of people who love sailing, who will ensure your yacht charter in the Solent will be all it should be. We can offer advice on everything from your choice of yacht charter, to where to sail in the Solent or beyond.
There are exciting times ahead for Firstaway Yacht Charter. under new management, we’re expanding and looking to take on more yachts in our yacht management scheme along with new people.
Firstaway Tuition can provide RYA training in the Solent on yachts with a high specification and with RYA instructors committed to giving personal RYA training at all levels from the RYA Start yachting course to RYA Yacht master. Our sail training courses are run on a friendly yet professional basis with experienced RYA instructors who will make your sailing lessons both fun and memorable. Own boat tuition is a speciality or book a course on one of our favourite yachts and come back and charter her afterwards to gain those valuable miles.
We can offer Sail training for anyone wanting to just experience the water, or obtain miles to go further and take higher qualifications or we are happy to put some specialised training together so you can just spend time practising those tricky manoeuvres as you come into dock We can configure courses with individual berths, groups of friends or just come along and meet some new fellow sailors whilst learning a new skill. Corporate groups are welcome and individuals catered for too.
