Your sailing holiday in West Cork, Ireland will be aboard Inishbeg, a brand new Bavaria 50, the flagship of the Bavaria range. A 50-footer, Inishbeg is designed for comfort and performance. Accommodation on board is luxurious and the safety, communications and navigation technology is top of the range.

Accommodation:

Four cabins - 3 doubles, one twin, each with ample storage space and all bed linen supplied.
Saloon with luxurious seating, flat screen TV, DVD player, radio, CD player, PC with internet connection.
Galley with twin sinks, fridge, freezer, gas hob and oven, toaster, electric kettle, etc. Cutlery and ware for 14 people.
Three heads each with toilet, shower and wash hand basin. Fourth shower on swim platform.
Spacious cockpit with spray hood and full cockpit enclosure, can be fully closed when weather demands
Cruising Areas
This part of the south west coast of Ireland is dotted with islands, many of which are now uninhabited, perfect for peaceful sailing holidays. Others, including Cape Clear, Sherkin and Heir Islands, have ferry access to the mainland.

The Fastnet Rock, west of Cape Clear, is Ireland's most southerly lighthouse and marks the halfway point in the famous biannual Fastnet Race for yachts.

Castletownshend, Schull, Goleen and Crookhaven are just some of the West Cork towns and villages to which Inishbeg sails on day charters. On weekend sailing holidays, Bantry, Glengarriff and Bere Island are within easy reach. Cruising further north to the Skelligs and Dingle is possible if you have a week or more aboard the yacht.

Day Cruise

Perfect introduction to sailing or a treat on a special occasion.
Round the Fastnet: Leave Baltimore at 10.00 after safety briefing, passing Sherkin Island and Cape Clear. Round the Fastnet Rock with its Lighthouse built in 1904, the most southerly point of Ireland. Dolphins, porpoises and whales are frequent visitors to these waters. Lunch in Cape Clear and walk on the island. Return to Baltimore via Heir Island and Turk Head. Other options include visits to Schull, Goleen, Crookhaven. Prices.

Weekend Charter

Explore the West Cork coast in comfort and style.
Pre-departure briefing Friday evening. Depart Baltimore at 10.00 Saturday morning for Mizen Head. Lunch aboard. Overnight on board at Bere Island and return to Baltimore next day via Fastnet, Schull and Cape Clear.
Alternatively combine 2 day sails with accommodation in our house.
