Ullswater 'Steamers' is an award winning Lake District attraction celebrating their 150th year sailing on England's most beautiful lake. Currently we have four vessels operating on lake cruises on Ullswater; Lady of the Lake originally launched in 1877 and Raven in 1889. Lady Dorothy joined us in 2001 and Lady Wakefield in 2007.
Ullswater 'Steamers' create the perfect opportunity to combine a lake cruise with some of the most famous and spectacular walks in the Lake District. With miles of bridleways linked by 'Steamer' routes there are so many opportunities for exploring the area or simply relax and enjoy the glory of nature through the seasons.

Context: 2 families with 4 children under 12. 1 toddler. Feb Half Term. We asked at the counter what would be good to do, bearing in mind we had not been on the boat before. We had a reasonable length conversation with the teller. We were told that we could stop at Howtown (sp?) and that the hotel would be open for food.We left late morning. When we arrived there were no clear signs on what direction to go and it transpired that due to lambing season, the hotel was shut. We had an approx 2 hour wait until the next boat. It was raining. The tickets £50 were clearly sold under false pretences, due to the season. A very kind man from the activity centre returned us to P. due to the age of our children. The boat was nice but we would not go with this company again, due to deliberately misleading us.
