The Bothy Bar provides a cosy atmosphere for unwinding and catching up with friends.
Traditional Orkney ales, whiskies, soft drinks and coffees are all available all day. Come along and look at memorabilia of by-gone days or join in with the local musicians who feature regularly on Sunday evenings. Bothy Bar over 18s only.

Part of the Albert Hotel this well run bar serves really good food at very reasonable prices. It didn't need to book but dont know weather this is always the case. We ate here during the day and did plan to have another meal one evening, however we didnt get round to it. I'm sure it would have been just as good though. Well worth visiting for a meal or just a drink or two.

The Brothy Bar Orkney. Couldnt make it to the islands last summer for obvious reasons, but going to make up for it this year. We are looking forward to blowing the froth off a few in the Brothy Bar

Merry Christmas from Fiona and family. We enjoyed the hospitality so much on our last trip here. We are planning to sail Orkney again this summer, so we look forward to more relaxing afternoon/ evenings in your lovely bar .

When in Kirkwall, a must place to frequent is the Bothy Bar. Great place for catching up over a drink or two. varied range of ales and spirits, many of them locally brewed or distilled. Plenty of locals frequent here as well as visitors, us included.

Great traditional British bar situated in the Albert Hotel. If you like to see the local history of an area, the Bothy Bar is steeped in it and has information on it all around the place. One of our regular haunts on our visit to Orkney and will continue to be so.

We only nipped in here on our last day on the Orkneys, but we wished we had have visited earlier. We will certainly be visiting again earlier on our next visit to these isles. top class!
