A major attraction on the island is the Sherkin Island Marina at Dún-na-Long Castle, just 50 yards from "The Islander's Rest". This facility is available from mid-May to mid-September (weather permitting). It provides facilities for the seafarer which include mooring, electricity and water, food and refreshment at The Islander's Rest
