Richans Retreat
Perfect location for the ferry terminal. A pretty unusual cafe with a selection of gifts. The whole place is steeped in history and the owner will gladly tell you about. Its really interesting. If you come to Westray by ferry, pop in and have a coffee and cake, its somewhere a little bit different to the norm and well worth a visit.

Richans Retreat
An unusual little cafe selling oddments very close to the Westray to Kirkwall ferry terminal. There isn't anything else around there, and we wouldn't have called in if we hadn't seen it on this guide. It is steeped in maritime history as the lady who owns it explained about the person "Richan" who was a privateer many years ago and quite a character.
Made for an interesting couple of hours whilst waiting for the ferry.
