Set beside the peaceful waters of the Lancaster Canal at Conder Green, Pyes Mill Hotel is a place where heritage, hospitality, and contemporary comfort come together. The story of the mill begins around 1740, when it was built as a working water-powered mill drawing its strength from the nearby River Conder. Over the centuries, the mill played an important role in the local rural economy, later becoming closely connected with the development of the canal in the early 19th century. During this period, the mill was substantially rebuilt and operated by the Pye family — a name that lives on today in Pyes Mill.
