Set on the small peninsula of land jutting out into Breiwick bay, Fjara has amazing views for you to enjoy in all weathers and at all times of the day. It is a great wildlife spot with plenty of opportunity to spot seals and otters in the surrounding.
With a simple but effective menu, which changes seasonally, Fjara aims to bring different tastes and cuisines to Shetland, getting the most from seasonal fruit and vegetables. All our baked goods are freshly made every morning on site, from our fantastic cheese and bacon bloomer to our sweet blueberry pancakes.

One of the finer eateries in Lerwick. Its difficult to put a label on it. Its definitely much more than a coffee bar. It serves up some great burgers and cocktails, and the views are stunning.
This cafe bar stands out from the rest as it is very modern and seems to have been built for the stunning views. But its definitely not all about the views here, the food served up is pretty special too. Privately run and owned the service quick and friendly.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all great with stunning views over the water. nice polite staff and the coffee is delightful. One of Lerwicks finest eateries.
Best breakfast and coffee in Shetland. Nice friendly staff, beautiful views and a varied menu including some good fish dishes. Toilets are spotlessly clean. It can get very busy, so booking would be advisable.
When we saw Fjara Cafe Bar on this guide, at first we thought itwas just a cafe that was licenced, but the reviews suggested that it was much more? So we popped in to for a coffee to find out for ourselves. So glad we did and the reviews were spot on. This is not just a cafe, it is in fact a very good restaurant serving fantastic cuisine. The manager or owner was very young but ran the staff very well. You can just pop in for a coffee if you wish.
The name cafe/bar is a little misleading as Fjara is much more than a cafe. The location is stunning overlooking the sea and the food served here is of restaurant standard. A good restaurant standard. well worth popping in when you are in Shetland.
