The Ferry Restaurant based in the historic Elephant Boatyard, Bursledon, Southampton is a real hidden gem set right on the Hamble river.
Outside seating lets you take full advantage of the beautiful views in peaceful surroundings on these lovely summer evenings. French head chef Anthony prepares and cooks everything from fresh and sources local produce wherever possible.
The Ferry Restaurant was originally a chain link ferry that carried passengers between Southampton and Woolston up until 1977. Its been converted to a superb dining restaurant that seats around 90 and now has a permanent home afloat in the Elephant Boatyard.
Why not dine alfresco on the deck, a perfect way to eat in the Summer overlooking the marina and Hamble River.

My fiancée proposed to me after a romantic meal here earlier this year. Great memories, and will hopefully be back for our 1st aniversary.
