I agree totally with Cinthia and Bill. we stayed self catering when we were in Kirkwall and we used Donaldsons for all kinds of provisions. Very helpful and polite chatty staff.

Such fantastic food! We felt spoilt for choice in this well stocked shop. the meat is great quality and there are good value deals available. The very nice lady in the shop told me the they make all their own bacon, sausages etc. and they have speciality haggis, which I sadly was unable to try on the occasion. They also have house made sandwiches and rolls, which were excellent. The black pudding and sausages made a fabulous breakfast, and we were happy that we could buy local eggs and other groceries there too. Well worth a visit.
