The golden beach of Eastern Green & Long Rock which leads onto Marazion and St Michaels Mount is also within a short walking distance of the house and apartments.

A ten minute drive from Sea View Cottage takes you to some of the best surf breaks in Cornwall if not the world, Sennen and Gwenver beaches offer golden sand and world class waves. Also within 15 mins. drive are St Ives, The Tate Gallery, The Minack open air Theatre and Lands End.

Cornwall is renowned for its gentle climate, influenced by the Gulf Stream, but just to be sure; all our accommodations are centrally heated. All of our properties are appointed to a very high standard and include all the fixtures and fitting you would expect from modern accommodation i.e. fully fitted kitchen inc dishwashers, fridge freezers, washer dryers etc. All properties also have large TV ( inc free view) and DVD as standard. Penzance Harbour consists of a Wet Dock with a hydraulic ram and gate, a drying Harbour, Albert Pier, West Pier, North Pier, Lighthouse Pier and South Pier together with a lighthouse.
There are facilities for recreational craft including a public slipway, parking and up to 240 drying moorings together with visiting yacht berths for a further 50 vessels.

Newlyn is one of the largest fishing port in the UK and is the first 24/7 harbour available to boats fishing the Southwest Atlantic waters.
The new Newlyn Pier and Harbour Commissioners have been appointed to supervise the development and running of the port and fish market in the interests of the fishing industry and the broader Newlyn community. The Commissioners have been offered substantial funds to support a new fish market from the European Union Fisheries Fund and the European Union Regional Development Fund to help regenerate Newlyn as a port and town. Important decisions now need to be made regarding this funding, the proposed developments and the additional funding required and the new Harbour Commissioners Board are determined to consider the shipping industry and related industry and the local community in their discussions.

Coming to the Boatshed is much more than just a dining experience. This is one of the oldest parts of town where much of the original maritime commercial activity that helped to establish Penzance started from. The Boatshed is an authentic old wharf side building located on the harbour front in Penzance. As you dine beneath great beams and masts of old sailing vessels the atmosphere wreaks of a bygone era of smuggling and shipwrecking. With trading connections and seafaring links with all parts of the continent as well as the new world it has been mentioned that beneath the timbers of the old store and restaurant room, Masters of Neapolitan brigs our of Rio, or homeward bound East Indiamen transacted a bargain or two amidst the rich aromas of Geneva Gin, Schnapps and Turkey Twist. The romance of this past era is still prevalent today when you visit us.
During the season, the Boatshed Café bar is open throughout the day and evening – with the main first floor restaurant being open in the evenings. The Cafe Bar has a distinctly continental feel in keeping with its original heritage. If you care to take a stroll around the harbour to take in the general boating scene you may today be tempted by the rich aroma of freshly ground coffee or to sample one of our splendid wines or beers and watch the world go by from the outside terrace. The star inn is a bit of a tardis of a pub, small from the outside but surprisingly large inside. They are big on sport with 12 screens showing sky tv plenty of football,rugby and even the darts.
The pub has lots of nooks and crannies so there are plenty of quiet areas to escape or join in with the crowd. They do food from 12 o'clock its good pub grub, good size value for money meals.

We take great pride in our smoked products, for example smoked salmon, trout and mackerel which are all hand sliced, interleaved and vacuum packed to the customer’s requirements. The Dry Dock is now operated by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group who have been in existence for 90 years and currently own five vessels, one passenger ferry, one general cargo pallet carrier, one general cargo vessel and two inter-island working boats.

Fat Fish Café and Take Away serving you the best tasting fish and chips in Penzance. Whether you enjoy traditional fish and chips or prefer your fish simply grilled with new potatoes and vegetables, this is the place to eat.
Please note that all chips are cooked in palm oil making them suitable for vegetarians. If you follow a gluten free diet, you can still enjoy traditional fish and chips by requesting our celiac batter.

It’s not all about fish and chips though. We do have varied breakfast, daytime and evening menus for you to choose from as well as our daily ‘Specials’. Children have their own ‘all day’ menu with dishes like ‘Pickers Platter’ designed specifically to cater to their tastes. If fishing is your passion and you want to ‘Eat what you Catch’ without cooking it yourself, then we can do that for you. When you drop off your freshly caught fish, discuss with our chef how you would like it served then come back later to enjoy local food at its freshest. No fishing gear, no problem – ask us if we can organise a fishing trip where all tackle is supplied. Please note that there are a limited number of places available each day for our ‘Eat what you Catch’ dining.

Menai also build the Sea Ranger Rigid tubed boat. Extremely stylish and purpose full. It is a positive buoyancy boat that is equal to any rib, but the solid tubes do not puncture, and contain storage hatches. The benefits to this boat are numerous and we have yet to find a down side.
Menai Marine are also builders of modern fishing and sports boats. Continuously developing but all in keeping with the same philosophy, 4x4’s for the sea. With comfort and style.
As a company we are approachable and keen to discuss aspects of boat design with our customers to provide the boat they want. We are British and have a reputation for looking after our customers.

All our rooms are en-suite with baths or showers, and centrally heated with all the facilities one would expect. We would ask guests to note that our bedrooms and restaurant are non-smoking and that we are unable to accommodate domestic pets! Twelve of our fourteen bedrooms have stunning sea views; many of our frequent visitors claim the panoramic views of Mounts Bay from the Hotel are the best of any hotel in the United Kingdom.
The sub tropical garden leads to a the seashore with rock pools to explore and Mousehole harbour itself has a small sandy beach where children can play safely.
