WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO RECENTLY?
As always we’ve been busy bees.
One of our most recent and exciting additions is the Harbourguides Forum, which we hope is going to attract a lot of attention from yachting and boating enthusiasts wanting to chat to each other and swap information. It’s basically a nautical social network. The great thing is that you don’t have to be a boat owner or sailor to get involved. Even if you simply fancy some leisure time on the water there will be lots of subscribers including the Harbourguides Crew happy to give friendly advice. Check it out.

We’ve also added a ‘Comment Review’ to encourage feedback for sponsors from their clients. Obviously this is carefully vetted as Harbourguides are very selective about the services we promote. No cranks allowed. We only publish the positives. However any sincere complaints or criticism are forwarded to the relevant sponsors so they can be dealt with personally and provide a valuable source of information.

As an added bonus we now have Business Maps for each of our Harbour Pages. It’s a quick and easy way to find whatever you’re looking for, or might require, close to wherever you’re berthed. In short... if you want to find a marine service, a hotel, a restaurant, a pub or anything else we take you straight to the local Google map and show you exactly where relevant sponsors are situated.

There are lots of other new features in the pipeline, most of which we are keeping under wraps for now. One service we are able to talk about is online shopping for marine related goods, which will be introduced later this year. We aim to make Harbourguides your one stop marine portal. If you have an online chandlery, or similar that offers an affiliate selling structure, please let us know.

As always we are open to ideas and feedback on all levels. It all helps to improve the quality of the site and services we provide.

Thanks for keeping us afloat for so long.

Best regards
Harbourguides Crew.
