14/07/2015 06:33We have recently moved our boat from the cold north of England to the extremely hot Mediterranean. Everything is fine except for the fridge that is having problems coping with the heat. Its probably 15 years old now, but the main issue is the amount of condensation that is occurring behind the fridge. There seems to be no outlet on the boat for this to drain off, ie the bilge etc. and is causing a build up of water behind the wooden fridge housing, so bad that it is now starting to rot the wood. Would a new fridge motor cure this, or are all fridges likely to produce a large amount of condensation due to the temperature differences?
