We live in Essex and are planning our first trip to Shetland this summer for our holidays. We are not sure weather to drive up or is it possible and cost effective to fly and then hire a car from you?

Yes the Motor-homes are suitable for most of the roads in Shetland. As regards to going across to other islands I would suggest giving Bolts a call and they will advise you. They have very helpful staff and will help in any way they can. Enjoy your trip to Shetland.

Just reading through these reviews and noticed the Motorhome hire. Are the roads suitable for these vehicles and can you take them to the other islands?

No messing, and as the previous person commented, they put your mind at rest as you dont feel like there is going to be asting at the end of the hire. And yes, we have also looked into the possibikity of hiring a motorhome on our next trip.

Me and my partner hired a car from Bolts and were treated very well. We have had a bad experience with another car hire company when on holiday in Spain and have been wary of hiring since. Bolts Car hire have put our minds at rest. So much so that we are considering hiring a motor home off them next year.
