The third largest Channel Island, Alderney is one of the rare unspoiled corners of Britain. With a population of a little under two and a half thousand, its reputation as a peaceful, relaxing getaway is matched only by the locals’ reputation for warm welcomes and traditional jovial hospitality. Easily explored by foot the fascinating and beautiful Island is only one and a half miles wide by three and a half miles long and boasts a mild comfortable climate.
Like its neighbours, Guernsey and Jersey, Alderney is independently governed, but unlike the larger islands, and despite its proximity to mainland France (10 miles west of Normandy), it remains more or less entirely free from mainstream tourism. Remote as Alderney may be it is surprisingly easy to visit as it has its own harbour and airport with direct scheduled flights to and from the UK.
Alderney, one of Britain’s best-kept secrets.

Your website (http://www.harbourguides.com/harbours.php/Alderney/shops-services) advertises Europcar but the number is unobtainable and upon further enquiries it appears that Europcar no longer operates in Alderney.
It might be an good idea to update your website.
Regards,
Thanks for letting us know about Europcar in Alderney. We will delete this service from our database. Alderney is due to be updated early next year, and as we have well over five thousand advertisers with us it’s difficult to find out when one is no longer in service if the company don’t contact us to let us know. The good news however is that we have so many visits to our site that someone like yourself usually informs us if a business or service is no longer available.
We will replace the vacant “Car Hire” service with an appropriate one once we have completed our update.
So thanks for informing us.
Regards

I read on your website that you're going to update the Alderney PDF. We will be visiting next year, so would like to get the most recent info when available. Could you let me know when to check your website again for this?
Thanks
Alex
Lovely island, nice people although the hills are a killer on bike - especially when sitting on a hard cockpit seat during the sail home.
Yum Yum!!!
