The Queens Hotel
Luxury, Elegance, Comfort
The Queens Hotel, Oban is a magnificent building, filled with history.

It is believed to have been originally built for the 1st Episcopalian Bishop of Argyll and the Islands as his home. Later it was a church retreat and then a temperance hotel called The Glen Campa Hotel before it evolved into the majestic hotel of today.

We saw the potential when we stayed there in the mid 1990s whilst on our honeymoon. As new owners, to say we have achieved our dream would be an understatement, with unsurpassed views over Oban bay, elegant furnishings and sumptuous meals we welcome you.

Bars & Inns, Restaurants
Cuan Mor is the Gaelic translation for Big Ocean, which as you will find from our delightful views across Oban Bay, is where we are located.

We welcome all of our guests at Cuan Mor with open arms and a warm friendly smile. Our restaurants and bars are creatively designed using only natural and reclaimed Scottish materials, such as Ballachulish slate and greenheart timber beams from the lighthouse pier. The indigenous woods of Scotland have been used in our table tops and floors, and two of Scotlands's finest blacksmiths have used traditional methods to create individual pieces which contribute to creating a unique and charismatic highland venue.

We like to keep it local at Cuan Mor, so we have selected many of the finest local beers, real ales and whiskies, to compliment our menu's extensive selection of locally sourced produce.
