Alex and Justine welcome you to the Woodside Hotel Oban, a friendly traditional family run hotel in the very heart of Oban.
The Woodside Hotel not only provides accommodation but has a lively public bar and 'Hydro bar' function suite where entertainment is on most weekends. Our Hydro bar has a late weekend license so there will be plenty of activity till the early hours.
We are not a Hotel for those looking to escape the lively atmosphere of a traditional West Coast Scottish bar.
We also have a large partially covered beer garden to the rear of the Hotel where smoking is permitted.
We have a mixture of bedrooms to cater for all including 2 doubles, 6 twins, 1 family and 1 single room. All rooms en-suite.
Whilst we don't have private parking there is plenty of street parking as well a large public car park on the same street.
We do have disabled access to the building but regrettably no ground floor bedrooms.
Originally built around 1882 The Caledonian Hotel is situated in the centre of Oban, amid spectacular Scottish surroundings. This Oban hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Highlands of Scotland, with the isles and islands of West Scotland within a short ferry ride.
Each of the Caledonian's 59 well appointed en-suite bedrooms has a nautical theme, with most providing stunning views overlooking Oban Bay to the mountains of Mull and Ardgour.
Dining is available in the Top Deck restaurant, which provides an intimate candlelit dining experience serving fantastic freshly prepared, locally sourced food. For a more relaxed setting the hotel's bar serves a great selection of light snacks and meals throughout the day.
The Caledonian also has excellent facilities for all your conference and wedding requirements, with function suites catering from small intimate meetings to larger banquets of up to 130 people

Luxury, Elegance, Comfort
The Queens Hotel, Oban is a magnificent building, filled with history.
It is believed to have been originally built for the 1st Episcopalian Bishop of Argyll and the Islands as his home. Later it was a church retreat and then a temperance hotel called The Glen Campa Hotel before it evolved into the majestic hotel of today.
We saw the potential when we stayed there in the mid 1990s whilst on our honeymoon. As new owners, to say we have achieved our dream would be an understatement, with unsurpassed views over Oban bay, elegant furnishings and sumptuous meals we welcome you.
