Information
Liverpool Marina is ideally placed for those wishing to cruise the Irish Sea: offering a huge choice of destinations for the cruising yachtsman from the beautiful coasts of North Wales, the Isle of Man, Ireland, Cumbria and Scotland. For the racing yachtsman the Liverpool Yacht Club racing series have become some of the best-attended events on the West Coast of England. With racing throughout the year, and fleets in excess of 30 boats you can be assured of keen competition whatever you sail.

Should you feel like a break from the water, Liverpool itself is a fascinating base with all the attractions that you would expect of a modern, cosmopolitan city. With museums, art galleries, the Beatles Story, a first class shopping centre and enough clubs, bars and restaurants to please even the most critical.

Access by road rail or air to the marina couldn't be easier with the motorway network from north, south and east terminating less than 5 miles from us; Liverpool Airport is 25 minutes by car or taxi and Lime Street railway station 5 minutes away. Even the Isle of Man Ferry docks only a stones throw away!

Sales rep who was stranded
Posh Pads are exactly what they say, meaning very upmarket with amazingly low prices, and also bang in the middle of Liverpool.
Can not believe how low the prices are, check them out but dont go on about the price, they may eventually cotton on.
Enjoy.

Hi

There are numerous Taxi Firms try Davie Lyver 0151 708 7080. There is also a direct Taxi Cab line from the Reception at Liverpool Marina Foyer.

Liverpool is also blessed with many Black Cabs that you can hail in the street. A cab to Lime St Station or city centre is under £5.00

Hi Jake we are currently compiling our guide to Liverpool and our man in the field there "Paul Smith" has been really impressed by the Marina and its facilities. He has also been singing the praises of the marine services.
On top of that you have got the fabulous city of Liverpool itself, so we thinks you could do far worse than get the Beneteau to Liverpool Marina. If you do, please comment again and give us some feedback.
Thanks

Liverpool Marina by Tony Jarvis
It was my plan for the 2023 sailing season to sail up the Mersey and to visit Liverpool, I phoned the guys at Liverpool Marina in advance and they could not have been more helpful, even when my plans changed and I had to arrive a day earlier. The lock in and out was efficient, I was given a prime visitor Berth very close to all amenities. Live acoustic music in the friendly bar and very pleasant 15 min walk into the heart of this fantastic city. Great value for money at just over £30 per night for our 11 metre yacht,(it is over 3 x that to stay in the centre of London). Sailing up and down the Mersey was fantastic, a Big thank you to all the guys at Liverpool Marina for their terrific hospitality. Tony and Mandy, yacht Good Rum.

Great to be back in Liverpool Marina, the new facility's are now taking shape and looking great also the Bar and Grill has a great new look with the addition of Sky sports and pool along with great ales and food.
we have been berthed back in Liverpool for a couple of weeks right through the last 3 storms and we like others had a few problems with the high winds, I must say the Marina staff were Brilliant, I must Also say that the Maintenance lads Danny - Kevin and Ged were stars, they helped with moving the boat and re securing it in a more protected berth nothing was a problem to them, they never stopped helping people or securing unattended boats, top team Thanks guys.
I must Also Mention the Lock keepers, We request a lot of midweek and Weekend out of hours locks and they Always get us in or out on time regardless of the time of day or night. At times were we are unsure about things, the head lock keeper Craig never fails to sort things out for us again thanks ALL.
Liverpool Marina has it All, Great Staff, Great Location, Great New Facilities and a Fantastic Bar and Grill.

We were moored here for the week. Our initial impression was a lack of efficiency by the lock keeper. It feels a bit run down. The yacht club is good for a drink, but we did not get round to eating here. The toilets are good, but the showers, once you find them, are 2 of dubious cleanliness with a shared changing area. It all feels a bit run down and uncared for.

Outboard and Marine by Leigh Taylor,
Took my lower unit(suzuk dt 65) for a full rebuild and new impeller, this engine had stood for 15 years so sheared bolts were common , I have had the unit back for three months , new impeller , oil, etc , it's been on five trips and is faultless! ;-) also nice bloke to deal with. Many thank,

I had never been to Liverpool before. The hotel location was in very easy walking reach of the train stations and of all that I wanted to see - the cathedrals and the museums. The variety and number of independant eating places in Bold St was a lovely bonus.

The Bridewell
The Bridewell - Argyle Street bridewell and fire station was built in the 1840’s at a cost of £2675and was mainly used as a lock up, playing host to over refreshed and excitable seamen and dockers, there were 7 cells which housed over 100 “guests” each month, bread was free as was the floor - if you required use of a bed or better food then these would have to be paid for.
Charles Dickens was sworn in as a special constable for one night only in 1860 whilst researching his novel “The Uncommercial Traveller”
The Building ceased to be used as a prison in 1932 but was brought back to life during the second world war by the US military - rumours of German POW and conscientious objectors - but as these activities were shrouded in mystery for fear of letting the enemy discover, any evidence has been lost in the passages of time.
