South Ferriby Marina
Boat Moorings, Boat Sales-Power, Boat Sales-Yacht, Boat Storage, Boatyard, Chandlery, Dry Berthing, Marinas, Marine Diesel, Visitor Moorings, Yacht Brokers
Situated at the entrance to the non-tidal River Ancholme the existing marina has been established since 1966 and is well placed to provide easy access to The River Humber and North Sea.
We are a family run business committed to providing a range of services to our customers including boat moorings, boat storage ashore, boat sales, boat yard services and chandlery sales.
Access for boats to the marina is by way of South Ferriby Lock and it is normally possible to use the lock 3 hours either side of high water. High water at South Ferriby is 20 minutes later than high water at Hull.
The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Services provided, which consisted mainly of the use of crane to manoeuvre my boat in and out of the water was charged at a variety of rates that never achieved any consistency and when challenged was met with confrontation and argument. During the period my boat was in the water damage occurred due to the river being dropped by the EA and the marina’s jetty’s not been kept up to a functional standard.
When raising concerns the response was often to offer a counter argument, attempt to apportion blame to others and threaten to charge additional fees for services already provided.
In terms of services, the yard can provide cranage in and out of the River Ancholme. However, short of this there is very little else Ithe ‘marina offers in terms of boat maintainence
I would not recommend anyone moor or store their vessel at this location.
