Sacarellos
A 10 minutes walk from Ocean Village ,Marina Bay and Queensway Quay Sacarello’s is an iconic coffee shop,Café/ lunchtime restaurant in Irish Town the ‘old commercial street’ of Gibraltar.
It occupies the former warehouse of an early 19th Century Merchant House.

Sacarellos is also the story of the Gibraltarian and how many present-day Gibraltar business families similarly had ancestors who emigrated from Northern Italy in the mid 18th and early 19th Century and came to Gibraltar to seek a new life.

Reknowned for its ‘just roasted family coffees’ Sacarellos Coffees there is always a busy atmosphere, whether at morning coffee, lunch or teatime.

Sacarello’s has a varied comprehensive homemade lunch menu with a balance of traditional English dishes such as Steak, Mushroom & Guinness Pie, Hot Chicken Salad, Italian Pasta and regional Andalucian venta-type dishes such as pollo empanado(Chicken fried in Breadcrumbs) and estofados. The Mediterranean influence can be seen in the extensive use of extra virgin olive oil, fresh fish and seasonal local vegetables. The lunch menu features five ‘specials of the day’ on the chalk boards which change three times per week, fresh fish on Wednesdays, an ever popular salad bar served alongside a range of our very popular delicious fresh quiches and other vegetarian options ..

Homemade cakes and traditional afternoon high-tea bring the day to a close. Not only has Sacarellos become a local meeting place but it has also become a local cultural centre. There is always an art exhibition On display and poetry readings, book launches and plays are also presented here.

Average price for main course £8 to £9 Snack menu available in the shop from 12-3.30

Sacarellos Cafe Restaurant Gibraltar
When visiting Gibraltar, you are bound to stumble accross Irish Town. Here there are an abundance of cafe's, bars and restaurants.l We tried out quite a few as we really enjoyed this area. We came to the conclusion that Sacarellos is the best place for either a snack, full on meal, or just a coffee. plenty to choose from on the menu, with something to suit anyone. They do pride themselves on their coffee, and when you taste it you will see why. Steeped in history put Sacarellos on your list of places to visit when in Gibraltar.

Sacarellos Gibraltar
Situated in the Irish Town of Gibraltar, Sacarellos caters for almost anyone. Fantastic lunch menu, and probably most famous for their just roasted family coffees, but dont let that fool you into thinking this is a coffee shop. Its much more than this. Food and service are fantastic, and when visiting the Irish Town, make this a port of call.

Loved this Irish Town part of Gibraltar especially this cafe restaurant bar. Never been to Gibraltar and new little about it. Came over as part of the boxing admin. All the staff have been talking about how good the event went and hope to put on other big shows in the future.

Love this place, Lots of Gibraltars history can be found here, the owner (Dont know his name) is extremely knowledgeable on Gibraltars history, especially Irish Town. Very interesting. Thers so much more to Gibraltar than the marina scene, and this comes from a yachty!!

Well this place has everything. If you want a snack they got it, if you want a full on meal, they got that too, if you want fine wines, yeah they have them too. All in all Sacarellos caters for pretty much everything and all to a very high standard.
