The Chimneys Hotel built in 1925, previously known as The Trust and was mostly used by miners who worked at Blackhall Colliery. Renamed to Chimneys because it has so many chimneys, underwent a revamp to bring the interior and exterior up to date in 2008.
Mike originally from Hampshire brought his professional team with him to Chimneys in August 2009. A well known chef in the North East of England, Mike decided it was time to 'step up' and take on the hotel along with a function room, restaurant and lounge bar. Mike has over 15 years experience within the trade and has worked both for and along side some of the most experienced chefs and hoteliers both in the North and the South of the country.
Now completely refurbished the hotel is very comfortable and a warm welcome awaits all.
