You can explore the sheltered scenic Salcombe waters in your own self-drive hire boat. We supply 12-16ft fibreglass boats with steering wheels. Lifejackets, (dog lifejackets), a chart of the estuary and full instructions are all supplied to make your hire as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Spend the day at the beach or go fishing (fishing rods available for hire). Visit the local pubs at Kingsbridge and Southpool at the high tides or enjoy exploring the beautiful estuary and creeks, with their local resident seals.

Our boats can be hired for one hour, four hours, daily or weekly.

All our boats are fully equipped and licensed for 6 – 10 persons.

We are open 7 days a week, from Easter to the end of October.

Kirby – 1 hour estuary cruise

Welcome aboard ‘Kirby', our one-hour guided estuary cruiser. Explore the beautiful scenic estuary with its surrounding hillside and golden beaches. There is an abundance of bird life with seals and dolphins spotted regularly.

You can charter ‘Kirby' for your own private cruise.

All our fish comes in fresh daily from local day boats, operating off our coast from Plymouth to Brixham. Included in our fine array of local fresh fish are: local Sea Bass, Mackerel, Pollack, Ling, Cod, Tuna, Swordfish, Monkfish, Lemon Sole, Plaice, Turbot, Brill, Dover Sole, Salmon & much more.

Oysters, Mussels and shellfish, Squid and most things fishy! Why not enjoy our local fresh Scallops!

Special crab and Lobster seafood boxes and smoked platters are available.

We also have a delicious range of locally smoked produce including the ever-popular smoked Mackerel.

Try our wonderful local hand picked white crab meat sandwiches, ideal for a picnic or taking with you on your hire boat or the estuary cruise.

We guarantee that our crab and lobster will be the freshest in town as we hold them live in our keep on the estuary and cook them daily, preparing them dressed and ready to eat.

Crabmeat, Cockles, Prawns and kebabs. Ready made salads and fruit salads. Why not try our famous chilli and ginger sauce as an accompaniment.

Smoked Mackerel and seafood boxes can be delivered around the UK with overnight delivery service at an extra cost.

Not only do we sell seafood, but we have a wide range of fishing rods and reels, with an extensive selection of tackle, lures, feathers etc for boat and shore fishing. During the summer months we can supply live ragworm and peeler crabs for bait.

Children's crab lines, buckets and spades, fishing nets, beach balls, body boards, skimboards, windbreaks, sun tan cream, hats, beach goods, portable barbeques, firelighters and lump charcoal are all available.
