It’s obvious benefits are the saving in human effort an energy in both going up and down, and therefore being able to stay working at the chosen height for much longer periods, and of course the less fatigued you are, the chances of accidents reduce.
The Harken Power Seat allows the user a full 360 degree working area and works with approved harness equipment. It’s also pretty light, weighing in at just 14 kg.
The device is petrol driven and powers a winch that works with two rope connections for both harness and rope grab. It is used with personal fall-arrest systems and equipment meeting EN363 requirements, which include shock-absorbing lanyards.
