HANGOVER PROOF WHISKY Sunday March 08th, 2009
ImageIt sounds too good to be true and the Scots say it certainly is. Claims by Australian brand ASM Liquor that their new whisky Naled Scot will not give you a bad head the next day have been rubbished by the Scotch Whisky Association. According to there publicity it would appear that dehydration is not the cause of a hang-over after all. ASM say that because their product is free of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides it is ‘hangover-free’.

However ASM say it’s not so and claims that ASM’s, Naked Scot promotion gimmick implies all other brands contain chemical residue. In a statement made recently the SWA said, 'The claim is misleading because the science of distillation means there is no question of 'residual herbicides, pesticides and fungicides' being in any bottle of Scotch whisky.'

Regardless of the debate it seems certain that ASM will make at least an initial killing through whisky drinkers wanting to try it out for themselves.
