BAREFOOT BANDIT IN CUSTODY

BAREFOOT BANDIT IN CUSTODY Friday July 16th, 2010
Notorious teenage thief, The Barefoot Bandit has finally been caught in the Bahamas after a 2 year crime spree that has cost an estimated $3mil.19-year-old Colton Harris-Moore is wanted in four states in relation to burglaries, shoplifting, car theft, boat theft and steeling private aircraft.
The youngster, who taught himself to fly, crash landed on in the Bahamas last week and stole a 40ft boat from Great Abaco before using its 15ft tender to reach Romora Bay Resort and Marina on Harbour Island. Having escaped the marina he later returned and was recognised by security, who gave chase. He attempted a getaway in a 30foot speed boat which was disabled when police shot the outboard motor and he ran aground.
He is now in custody in Nassau waiting to be brought to court for to face over 100 charges of burglary on a string of islands in Washington state’s Puget Sound along with numerous other charges of theft etc, etc, etc.
He will probably leave prison a very rich man thanks to a best-selling autobiography and a Hollywood movie about his exploits.
